Iconic Images: Alante Photography

This image was taken by Loren Callahan of Alante Photography ... I thought it was such a sweet and tender moment ... let's hear Loren's inspiration behind it!

"To tell you about the inspiration behind the photo of Helen & Alan stems back to a photograph of my parents when they got married in 1961. I have always liked the photo of my parents because it had a sense of innocence and beauty that really is seen less and less these day during weddings. Everything is usually over the top. Helen & Alan were taking a break just before being announced to the reception and the Seattle Tennis Club. They were talking softly to one another. I think they appreciated the manner about which I was not involved with their conversation but knew documenting their special moments for them was high on their priority list for their living memories of their wedding."

Thanks to Kim and Heather for the great post about my photo of Helen and Alan's. Ironically, I just reviewed some old photos from my parents' albums over mothers day and saw the fantastic photos again that gave me a few more ideas at my next wedding that I photograph. www.AlantePhotography.com - Loren.
