I was so excited when I found a darling shop called Sweeter Than Me on Etsy ... this boutique, which is run by Kristin Friesen showcases handmade jewelry designed by Kristin herself :) I contacted Kristin and asked her to share with our readers:

Q: How long have you been designing jewelry?

A: I've been designing jewelry for almost 2 years, and selling it on Etsy for about a year and a half.

Q: What are your favorite pieces to make?

A: I sort of go through phases with my inspiration. I'll make a pair of earrings, for example, and it will spark a flood of earrings ideas. Or I'll make a necklace and suddenly find myself with more necklace ideas than I could possible execute. I tend to struggle a little with bracelets, which is why I only have 3 in my shop. Necklaces can be tricky too, with so many options for length and it has to be just right.

Q: Do you make custom jewelry for brides?

A: Absolutely! I've done custom jewelry for many many brides. I can make variations of existing pieces, or create something completely new. I feel very confident in my ability to simplify the process and interpret the bride's ideas into a tangible piece. The options are endless and I definitely want brides to remember that you can have anything you want, it's your day!

Q: What are your favorite current pieces you have for sale?

A:  I absolutely adore my Enchanted Flutter necklace, the peridot especially (green is my favorite color). I also really like my Thicket sets. They are so versatile, perfect for everyday or I've had brides order them for themselves or their bridesmaids. And lastly, would have to be my Mary Kate sets. I wear those when I need a little pick me up and a dose of sparkle, also very versatile.
