Tickled Purple

In case you haven't heard, purple is the wedding color right now!  We saw it everywhere we turned at the Seattle Wedding Show.  We featured it in our Couture Colour article, heard about it in our Ask the Expert segment with Totally Tabletops, and now we're giddy to see some beautiful bouquets that take advantage of the trend from Elements in Bloom!

We spoke with owner, Tanya Stone about how to use the color and she has been having fun with deep purples and blues far a dramatic effect.  Purple can also be delicate and ultra feminine by using a pale, lavender variation of the color like the new variety of rose pictured below.  It's name is Ocean Song and it is a relative newcomer to the floral world!

We fell in love with her creation below using the Ocean Song roses.  Says Tanya about the purple in the bouquet:  "I love it paired with other dark and rich colors such as blues, burgundies, browns, and blacks.  All of the "b"colors apparently."

I must say, we agree!
