Be Open

There is no shame in dabbling! Try on dresses in different styles, fabrics, and silhouettes.  One of the best ways to explore the options is to bring a friend with a keen eye for style and try on anything (yes, anything) she selects.  You might be surprised - sometimes true love is lurking in the most unexpected places!

Be Realistic

Not everyone is 5'10" and a size 2 and not every dress style will be flattering on every body type.  Know yourself and choose a dress that flatters your features.  (And of course, comfort is key!)

Be Healthy

In a society obsessed with weight, this bears mentioning: a wedding dress is a great motivator to lose any extra pounds, but please, please, please do so as part of a healthy lifestyle improvement effort.  Crash diets wreak serious havoc on your metabolism and can lead to future health issues as well as Bridezillas!

Exercise, healthy eating, and smart portions are ultimately the key ingredients to looking firm, fit, and fabulous on your wedding day.
