Alderbrook Resort

People love to get married at Alderbrook, and we love to help them make it special. The best part? When the bride gazes out at the crowd of family and friends, takes in the view of the stunning mountains and picturesque Hood Canal, and a warm, loving look comes into her eyes-an anniversary is born. That’s when we know we’ve done our job right.

Recommending places to stay for travelling guests makes their planning much easier, and often you can pre-negotiate blocks of rooms at special discounted rates.  If you think your guests will have different travelling budgets, recommend three different options in varying price brackets (low, medium, high) so that everyone can sleep soundly.

When making reservations for you and your guests, consider these tips:

  • If you want privacy and to avoid the awkward run-ins with out of town guests the morning after the wedding, stay in a different hotel than the ones you recommend for your guests.
  • On the flip side, If you would like to have a morning after brunch with your traveling guests, staying the same hotel makes it easy to gather for the morning meal.  You may want to get an estimated head count and make reservation so no one gets left out!
  • If you have a day or two before you leave for your honeymoon, consider choosing a hotel with a spa and restaurant so you can enjoy some post-wedding relaxation.
  • Many hotels offer newlyweds special perks so check with the manager when you book you reservations.
  • Because most spas have limited availability, you may want to arrange your massages when you book the room.  (A personal fave:  hot-stone massages, followed by a dip in the hot-tub.  Heavenly!)
